Who wants to join me and lose weight, lose fat, have improved health, great energy and still be able to snack in the evening?

I just received an advanced copy of the book and I’m excited to share my thoughts and experience about the diet. 

Lose Weight & Increase Energy with the Always Eat After 7 PM Diet

I’ve tried lots of diets. None of them were a good fit for me long term. I’m truly looking for a way of eating that can be part of my lifestyle. I’m excited to try the three-phase plan which includes:

  1. 14-day acceleration phase This phase is designed for rapid results in weight loss in the first 14 days. In this phase there is a transition from eating a big meal at breakfast and shifting to Joel Marion’s 3-Minute Fat-Burning Morning Ritual. Lunches and dinners during this phase will be based mostly on proteins and non-starchy vegetables.
  2. Main phase. This phase also incorporates the 3-Minute Fat-Burning Ritual in the mornings, along with filling lunches and dinners with lean proteins and lots of fruits and vegetables, and an evening meals with Super Carbs. What makes this doable is the option to cheat once a week. 
  3. Lifestyle phase. A healthy long-term lifestyle that follows the Always Eat After 7 pm principles.

I’m just digging into the book and in the introduction and first chapter, there are already so many myths about food and dieting that Joel shares the truth about based on studies and his own journey with nutrition and dieting.  

Some of these myths that are discussed in the book are; “Breakfast is the most important meal of the day,” “Avoid carbs—especially at night,” and “Whatever you do, never eat before bedtime.”

What really is blowing my mind is that Joel shares in the book “the research was crystal clear: eating your largest meals at night can actually be the hidden key to losing fat quickly and safely”.  

As the book says, the Always Eat After 7 PM is an approach that “lets you eat at night, burn fat at night, and end junk food cravings at night. Along the way, it moves you to a healthier, leaner body and more energy—and it does so quickly”.

I’m really excited to try this approach to eating that includes fruit, vegetables, protein, healthy fats, and even carbs!  

The book shares that not all carbohydrates are bad. Joel shares that many carbohydrate-containing foods are jam-packed with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and fiber.

I was really surprised to read that one of the best dinner carbs is white rice. Joel shares that “most people have no clue that this Super Carb is a gluten-free starch from nature that is rich in glucose, which triggers deeper sleep, fuels your daily activities for the next day, and prevents your metabolism from slowing down”.

The book also shares that “specific higher-carbohydrate foods support your fat-burning metabolism while you sleep, providing your body with a steady stream of fuel throughout the night. The trick is knowing how to combine them with other evening and pre-bedtime fat-burning foods to fuel your metabolism as you sleep”.

The diet also allows for alcohol in moderation. For those who know me, I love red wine, but also realize how quickly the calories add up and the amount of sugar that is consumed.
