FAQ’s about a turmeric mask
Will A Turmeric – Sandlewood Mask Stain My Face?
Because turmeric is a vibrant yellow color, it is possible for it to stain pale skin. The best thing to do is test a small area on your neck or face before you apply the mask on your entire face.
A good test is to leave it on the test area for one minute. If you notice no discoloration after sixty seconds, leave on for another four. Test again, and keep it on all the way until 10 minutes.
In my experience, I didn’t have any stain from the mask and I leave it on the full 10 minutes. I do notice if I apply it with my hands, that my nails can stain easily. If you simply wash your hands directly after applying the mask, you shouldn’t have any issues.
On the other hand, turmeric can stain your clothing and wooden cooking tools. Using a glass mixing bowl and stainless steel whisk are good options when making the mixture as they don’t tend to stain.
