No visit to Las Vegas would be complete without seeing how this town likes to celebrate the most wicked and notorious parts of its past. At the Mob Museum, you can see exhibits dedicated to the most well-known mobsters in Vegas history. You can also visit many of the famous historic mob locations all over the city. There’s a lot to learn about the history of this unique city.
Go Back in Time at Pioneer Saloon
Nevada used to be the wild, wild west, and this history is still alive at the Pioneer Saloon. This is the oldest bar in this region of the state, and it’s only a few miles from the California border. Though this saloon was originally ordered from a Sears catalog, it’s grown from what it started as back in the day. Now, it’s complete with a kitchen, dining room, patio, and even a whiskey bar. Just keep an eye out for ghosts, so it’s rumored to be haunted.
See the Strip By Air
While Vegas is known for its many zip lines, there’s one that’s hands-down more intense than the rest. The VooDoo Zip Line at the Rio begins in the 50th floor of the Masquerade Tower. You’ll travel 800 feet down to the Ipanema Tower. This zip line is a speed machine, and you’ll reach over 30 mph. If you’re able to keep your wits about you, you’ll see the best view of the Vegas strip and the Spring Mountains to the west of the city.
Just because you’re visiting one of the most popular destinations in the world doesn’t mean you can’t step outside the box. When you’re in the bright lights of the strip, it’s easy to think Vegas is all clubs and gambling. Once you step outside the tried-and-true, you’ll discover a new side to this city.

The best time to visit Las Vegas is from March to May and from September to November. While you’ll find plenty of travel deals throughout the year, the spring and fall shoulder seasons offer the most moderate weather.
