Think Timberline Lodge is cool? Just wait until you see your room. Warm, comfortable and inviting guest rooms are steeped in rich Pacific Northwest history. Oh, what those trendy new hotels would give for just a smidgen of the charm and personality you’ll find here.
Our guest rooms reflect the era of handmade furnishings and hand-painted artwork – when bedspreads and curtains could not be mass produced. Guest rooms except chalets are equipped with modern amenities such as hair dryers, remote control televisions, and telephones with voicemail and modem ports.
TIMBERLINE SKI AREA. We’re the only ski area in North America that’s open all 12 months of the year. We’ve got 3,690 vertical feet—more than anybody else in the U.S. Pacific Northwest. We’re located near the top of an 11,245-foot volcano—the tallest mountain in all of Oregon.
Timberline offers the longest ski season in North America. The winter season typically begins early to mid-November and continues through Memorial Day. Our Palmer Express high-speed quad lift allows us to operate later into the summer season than anyone else (usually June 1st through Labor Day). Many years, we’re open for fall skiing as well (Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in September and October snow permitting). For up-to-date hours of operation, call our Snow Phone at 503-222-2211, or view our conditions page.
Cap off a phenomenal day on the slopes with citrus-grilled wild salmon or a hearty Timberline beef burger topped with melted Tillamook cheddar. Wake up to piping hot Belgian waffles smothered with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. Or just curl up by the fire with a mug of our world-famous hot cocoa. At Timberline Lodge, our best-kept secret isn’t the killer view from the Mt. Jefferson Room or our heated swimming pool out back. It’s our food.
